The village is a tranquil place with the peaceful sea due to the bay. It’s in the middle of Northern Crete, between Keraklion (40 min) and Rethymno (30 min). Heraklion is the capital city of Crete, where the Knossos palace is located. Chania and Agios Nikolaos are two of the four towns of the island. Chania is a cosmopolitan place (1 h) and from Ag. Nikolaos (1,5 h) the visitors can sail to Spinalonga, the historic island. The visitors can enjoy the beautiful beaches, the “glassy” sea, the traditional taverns noted for the greek cuisine and above all company of the inhabitants, well-known for their hospitality.
